about

We all had a feeling that the first single from the Biatch Corporation boys would be big—they’ve been players in NYC’s burgeoning minimaltechno scene for a while now, tossing parties and spinning all over town—but we weren’t quite ready for something this red-hot right out of the gate. Biatch 001, Karraskilla’s "Su merced el Pimp,” is a self-assured slab of deep, stripped-down electronics, grabbing attention with a thick kick and bumping rhythm. Rhythmic elements slowly work their way into the mix (a touch of shaker here, reverberating wood blocks there), with just enough glitch to give the track an edge. The deal is sealed when an eerie, percussive melody finally shows up, making this track perfect for the more discerning late-night dance floors.
